All-in-all this is an excellent and well developed trail that provides cape vacationers a fantastic off beach activity. Crossing Station Avenue on a pedestrian bridge, the trail rolls through woods for 2.5 miles to a 160-foot bridge over the Bass River (scheduled for opening in late 2018; signs will be posted at the trailhead regarding the bridge status), and then another pedestrian bridge over MA 134 to an old trailhead in South Dennis. Along this section of the route, you will find less shade and more scrubby trees and low shrubs. We had to stop and go back because the pavement is very bumpy and not confrmed to smooth pavement.
